Who Are We
Sovereign Grace Baptist Church
WHO ARE WE?
We are, simply stated, a New Testament church. We range in ages from 1 to 85+ and everything in between. We are made up of people who have been born of God, who continuously repent of our sins and embrace the Person and work of Jesus Christ by faith alone. We desire to serve and worship Him with all our hearts, souls, minds, and strength.
WHAT ARE WE ABOUT?
We follow the directives in the New Testament for the life and ministry of the local church. Here are just a few of them:
- Jesus said in Matthew chapter 5 that we are to be the salt of the earth and the light of the world.
- Jesus said in Matthew chapter 28 that we are to be about the business of making disciples. This includes evangelism, and the faithful teaching and preaching of the Word of God.
- The apostle Paul in 1 Timothy 3:15 said that the church is to be the pillar and support of the truth.
We strive to fulfill these directives, and more.
